Day Of Learning

NTS’s Nurturing Care initiative will host an online Day of Learning event November 2nd, from 1-4pm CST.

In two interactive sessions, theologian, researcher, and author Dr. Keith Dow invites pastors, children’s ministry leaders, caregivers, educators, and disability advocates to reconsider care, Christian formation, and the image of God. Drawing on his book Formed Together and his collaborative Images of God research project, Keith will explore how people are formed through interdependent relationships—and how people with intellectual and developmental disabilities enrich the church’s understanding of God, faith, worship, and belonging.

Participants will leave with a deeper theological understanding for disability ministry and accessible ways of inviting children and adults to encounter and express faith through story, images, art, reflection, music, Scripture, and prayer.
