WELCOME SUMMIT POINT CHURCH
TO THE SENDING ALLIANCE OF CHURCHES
We believe God has called us to reach the people of our community by providing caring structures for families, through diversity in worship, in small caring groups that study God’s word doing life-on-life together, and serving to change the world.
We are unique because many of our congregation have been homeless, and 80% are ex-felons.
Traveling Together
Life is an ongoing journey seeking to reach the summit. The church is not designed as a solo sport, but as a community or family, working in smaller groups to disciple each other along the journey. Church leaders are then called by God to walk alongside those in the family. Summit Point Church is about coming along those on the journey. We are hear to travel together, even the hard stuff. Christ has called us to carry on another's burdens, regardless of the difficulty.
The Sending Project Liaison for Summit Point Church is Pastor Charles Beeghley.
Charles has been Lead pastor of SPC since 2014. He holds an MTh in church revitalization, an MDiv in Urban Ministry, is currently working on a DMin, and developing a handbook for the church to engage justice-involved individuals and their families in the life of the church.
