OVERFLOWING WITH HOPE - REFLECTIONS ON THE SENDING PROJECT 2022 BANQUET 1

With Romans 15:13 as an anchor Scripture for the evening, the September 19 Sending Project Banquet was overflowing with HOPE! Romans 15:13 says: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we worshipped by singing together Raise a Hallelujah and All My Hope, as a Restoring Hope Bible given to each of the attendees, and as fantastic featured presenters shared stories and updates of HOPE, this September 19 banquet was an amazing time for a diverse crowd that experienced unity and missional vision!

One of the highlights was when about 18 KC area pastors and leaders who were born in other countries each read part or all of Romans 15:13 in their heart languages. We’ll do this again this coming Monday at the September 26 Sending Project Banquet. More about that in next week’s blog post.

Scriptures of HOPE were read by two next generation Scripture readers, a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old. Brian Carline of Team Jesus spoke about missional prayer and emphasized that more missional prayer will result in a bigger wave of HOPE.

Before and after the banquet dinner and program, people roamed the atrium, visiting the various display tables of great ministries, making Kingdom connections. The Sending Project vision was shared and more funds were raised to sustain and grow the ministry. And above all, God was glorified!

May the diverse citywide Church of Kansas City be united and go in Jesus’ name, making Kingdom-advancing waves of HOPE…together! We know the need for HOPE seems greater now than ever, and as the citywide Body of Christ gets more and more strategically connected, we will experience bigger waves of impact for God’s Kingdom, resulting in more HOPE.

Here are more photos from our September 19 Banquet.
