KC Strengthening Families Project
Research tells us, new life skills, reinforced with positive community relationships increases the likelihood that at risk families and adults will succeed in becoming positive participants in our community. The KC Strengthening Families Project, in partnership with Cultivate and county and state agencies, helps to facilitate life skills training that empower families and individuals to make positive life change…and this collaborative project will also be introducing these at risk families and individuals to new positive supportive relationships with families and adults from local faith communities. Support families help to reinforce our life skills teaching and promote life change.
Cultivate is a nonprofit entity established by Lee Jost, pastor of Christ the Servant Covenant Church. Cultivate’s goal is to empower faith communities to move into collaborative space with state, county and local agencies who serve at risk families in our community.
For the past four years, Cultivate has been coordinating the development of community based collaborations that support building 21st Century skills and healthy community relationships. Cultivate has developed numerous onramps for faith communities to meet, support and promote lasting life change in at risk families and individuals county wide.
