Amy Cox is the Executive Director of Flourish, Kansas City’s only furniture bank. She joined Flourish in the role of fundraising and development in 2022 and, in 2023, assumed the role of Executive Director. Ms. Cox has been deeply involved professionally and through community service efforts in Kansas City for nearly 25 years.
Flourish: Where Compassion Meets Sustainability
Flourish is the only furniture bank in the Kansas City metro or the state of Kansas. As such, they provide an ENTIRE home of furniture and household necessities to hundreds of families each year that have experienced housing instability. In addition to providing essential items for families, Flourish plays a unique role in extending the life of items and keeping them out of landfills. Flourish plans to serve 1500 families in 2025.

Brian Weed will share with us about the Trailhead International ministry
Scripture and thought: Romans 10:13-14
13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Trailhead is on a strategic mission to build a church within reach of every person on earth.
– We need missionaries, called of God to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
– I spent 20+ years church planting in Nicaragua, also in Costa Rica, Panama, and Cuba.
– We recently sent one of our amazing Nicaragua couples to Belize.
– Concerning the text above (Romans 10:13-14), we found one key are that was hurting the churches impact. Lack of facilities for needed growth due to lack of funds.
– Trailhead does a few things, but the main thing we do is fund the construction of churches globally.
– In 2024, Trailhead was able to build 1 church facility every 7 days.
