Austin Orr will share with us about his Bible translation ministry.
Austin Orr is a Bible Translation Consultant with Wycliffe Bible Translators, an organization dedicated to ensuring that people from every language can understand the Bible and be transformed by it. Wycliffe’s vision, known as Vision 2025, is a collaborative initiative among various organizations and denominations aiming to start a Bible translation in every remaining language by the end of 2025.
Austin has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, providing pastoral training in rural mountain areas and living most recently in Nepal. As a consultant with Wycliffe, he utilizes his knowledge of Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic to assist in scripture translation for multiple projects simultaneously, offering the final check for accuracy and quality to translation teams. His work addresses the significant global need for consultants to help finalize Bible translations. For example, he has supported teams like the Himba translators in northern Namibia, who recently received their finalized copies of 1 and 2 Timothy for the first time.
Austin and his wife, Annalise, recently celebrated eight years of marriage. They are blessed with two sons, Elias (6) and Moses (3), and have welcomed a baby girl, Eilah, into their family.
This week, God has been speaking to Austin through 1 Kings 18:37:
“O LORD, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God and that you have brought them back to yourself.”
God’s Word comes in power, transforming the people of Israel and turning their hearts away from false and impotent gods back to Him. When He speaks, He acts in the hearts of those who hear Him, demanding obedience and transformation. His Word, when translated to the heart, never returns empty.
As stated in Isaiah 55:11
“I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”

E6 Ministries is a 501(c)(3) charitable ministry with a passion and mission “to help men discover life, freedom, and healing in walking with God daily along the masculine journey.” In 2012, the men of E6 began hosting weekly men’s groups after seeing and experiencing a lack of deep, authentic relationships among Christian men within the church and the absence of masculine discipleship amidst an increasingly fatherless culture. In 2015, the men of E6 also began hosting 4-day “boot camps” multiple times per year as a way for men to set aside the noise and distractions of the world and experience the true heart of God in an intimate and personal way. This fall E6 completed its 19th Boot Camp with over 700 men having attended Boot Camp through the years.
E6 stands for “Ephesians 6” where Paul reminds followers of Jesus to put on the full Armor of God so that we can stand firm against the devil’s schemes. Amidst an increasingly hostile culture, E6 seeks to connect men with their heavenly Father by offering multiple monthly opportunities for men to connect and grow with God, alongside other like-minded men, via an active, daily personal relationship. We seek to encourage imperfect men to take the risk to pursue God, above all else, and to walk with Him to learn, experience and live in their true identity, bestowed by God.
One bible verse speaking to us as an organization right now is Isaiah 43:18-19 which states “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
