This Christmas Gathering at Cliff’s Taphouse is the next gathering of the KC Women Leaders Missional Network, a diverse citywide network of women church leaders and ministry leaders whose focus is uniting, encouraging, and equipping women leaders in the KC area as they pursue God’s local and global mission.
At this Christmas Gathering, we will be collecting hygiene items for Bloom International, whose vision is to see a world where every woman and child recognizes their dignity and self-worth. Items needed: shampoo, bars of soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, combs, brushes.
Featured presenters: Kayla Turner and Jodie Karsack
Kayla has always lived in Missouri, but in four different areas. She is passionate about studying and teaching the Word of God and has served as the Director of Women’s Ministry at her church for six years. She loves helping facilitate discipleship and seeing what God will do when people collectively and intentionally seek the Lord through his word, prayer, and time together. Her podcast, Glory Everyday, is on its third season, where she has the opportunity to discuss ways in which God is at work in people’s lives through big and seemingly small things.
It is always a joy for her to speak to groups of women and spur them on in their faith, to love God’s word more, and be more like Jesus in all their roles.
Kayla is married to William Turner, a pastor, and they have two sons, Will (11) and Sam (8), who live for sports and laughter. Kayla is a big fan of earrings, board games, coffee, all things festive, The Chiefs, and anything with her family.
Jodi is passionate about impacting the lives of coaches, athletes and communities through the transformative power of the Gospel.
She has a unique background in coaching and a heart for mentorship, bringing a unique insight to fostering spiritual growth through sport.
By ENGAGING in Christ-centered relationships, she has opportunities to EQUIP coaches and athletes to grow in their faith and EMPOWER them to live it out boldly: DISCIPLES MAKING DISCIPLES.
Her forms of discipleship include 1v1, huddles (campus/teams/coach), events (camps/trainings/celebrations), and international trips.
Jodi has been married for 24 years to her best friend, Ben. They have a son Jacob (23) & a daughter Kacie (20), plus two fur babies, Cali (chiweenie) & Toby (lab mix).
