Our mission is to disciple all people in Christ by proclaiming the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and providing holistic support that empowers them to fulfill the Great Commission.
We are devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, committed to living out His teachings in every aspect of life and boldly proclaiming the Good News. As we follow Him, we envision multitudes transformed by His grace, communities renewed by the Holy Spirit, and living missional to be involved in the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19–20).
Pastor Dr. Fikre H. Norcha serves as the founding senior pastor of Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church (ECFCMO) in North Kansas City, Missouri.
ECFCMO Focus is Evangelism, Discipleship, Building a worshiping community, Equipping future generation.
Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church of Missouri (ECFCMO) is a newly planted, vibrant, and growing church committed to establishing a strong and Christ-centered worshiping community. The church is currently focused on reaching and serving the Ethiopian diaspora community in the Kansas City area, fostering spiritual growth, unity, and biblical discipleship among its members.
In addition to its local ministry efforts, ECFCMO is prayerfully envisioning and preparing for future mission initiatives both within the United States and abroad. Through evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and community outreach, the church seeks to participate actively in the Great Commission and expand its impact for the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Dr. Fikre H. Norcha is the founding senior pastor of Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church (ECFCMO) in North Kansas City, Missouri, where he lives with his loving wife, Alem B. Tekalgn, and their three children—Amanuel, Yesem, and Mieraf. Before moving to the United States, he served for over two decades in Ethiopia as an evangelist, church planter, denominational leader, and founding pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Ethiopia (PCE). During that time, he also published a book in Amharic titled “The 21st Century Discipleship and Its Contemporary Challenges.” He holds an M.Div. from Calvin TheologicalSeminary and a PhD in Biblical Studies–Systematic Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His most recent work is “Grieving the Holy Spirit: Understanding Paul’s Theology of “Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit” in Eph 4:30”. Before entering full-time ministry, he was trained as an electro-mechanic and worked at the Ethiopian Electric Light and Power Authority.
ECFCMO is prayerfully seeking to secure its own church building in the North Kansas City area. Establishing a permanent place of worship will provide stability for the congregation, create opportunities for expanded ministry, and serve as a spiritual home for the growing Ethiopian diaspora community. The church views this step as an important milestone in strengthening its local presence and supporting its long-term mission and outreach efforts.
