The KC Global Mission Leaders Network is a diverse citywide network of mission leaders who are connecting their faith and ministry with God’s Kingdom advancement beyond Kansas City. The evening will include featured presenters and a time of networking for Global Mission Leaders from all over the KC metro area.


Featured Presenters: Roy Moran & Justin Carney

Roy Moran serves as the Spiritual Literacy Catalyst with Shoal Creek Community Church. The theme of Roy’s life can be described as “an addiction to creating Disciple Making Movements (DMM)”. In the past five years, he has traveled the world studying the great movements of the gospel in Indonesia, India, Africa, South America, and Europe. These travels have lead to the development of a Hybrid Strategy at Shoal Creek and the dedication to see movements of disciple-making in the US begin out of Kansas City.

Justin CarneyJustin Carney serves as Director of Partner Relations at AgGrandize Global. Justin has 15 plus years of experience working in agriculture business (BAM) in Middle East & Central Asia. With diverse experience in value chain creation and stakeholder engagement ranging from working alongside small share farmers in rural Iraq to advising Ministers and advisory councils on national food security and policy reform. Justin has held management positions in various sectors including non-profits, oil and gas, and agriculture.

Prior to AgGrandize Global, Justin was General Manager for Agrisoya based in Erbil, Iraq. As General Manager for Agrisoya, Justin played the lead role in securing start-up capital investment and lead liaison between the company and the Kurdistan Regional Government. The relationships that were formed during this time led to eventual policy reform, trainings university students in value add processing, government research and new crop introduction.

During his time in the energy sector, Justin utilized his knowledge of Kurdish language, culture and experience to development stakeholder engagement protocols and new community investment strategies. Adopting these new strategies led to a focus on economically sustainable community impact projects. The community engagement policies led to better relations between the community and the oil company. Justin was appointed to train international staff on Kurdish culture and appreciative behavior. Justin’s years in Kurdistan also played a valuable role while negotiating operational challenges and resolving community grievances.
