Rose HennessRose H. Henness’

two greatest passions are teaching and mentoring. In addition to twenty years’ experience as a high school teacher and eleven years as a university professor and administrator, Ms. Henness holds a Master of Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) and is a candidate for a Doctor of Education from DTS as well.

Currently, Ms. Henness serves as the Director of Education for Global FC a non-profit using soccer as a transformative vehicle for refugee and underserved youth in the historic North East Kansas City neighborhood. Global FC provides youth with tools to help overcome obstacles to success by providing resources, opportunities, and relationships. This is accomplished through three main areas of programming: Soccer, Education, and Mentoring.

As an educator, Ms. Henness believes teachers should be life-long learners. She is currently learning to design websites, paint with watercolors, and bake the perfect peanut butter cookie. She enjoys introducing her three grandsons to new board games, exploring new places like libraries, bookstores, and fiber shops.
